Nathan Bucknam (1703-1795) was born in Charlestown, Mass., the sixth of twelve children of Joses or Josse and Hannah Peabody Bucknam. He graduated from Harvard College in 1721, and taught school in Charlestown and Malden. He began preaching in Malden before being settled in Medway in 1724.
